Will Ruddick:
"The paper Regenerative Bonds: Formal Debt, Mutual-Aid, and Local Settlement Capacity offers a reference architecture. It defines a regenerative bond as a formal debt instrument whose disclosed use-of-proceeds and governance rules allocate proceeds to locally governed settlement systems designed to strengthen settlement capacity across productive, ecological, care, mutual-aid and repair commitments. The formal issuer remains responsible for scheduled obligations to bondholders. Local pools, households, stewards and redeemable commitments remain outside bondholder collateral unless explicitly and legally structured otherwise."
